Lenovo To Introduce ThinkPad X1 Hybrid And Expects Windows 8 In Fall 2012

Lenovo is planning to launch a new ThinkPad model called X1 Hybrid that can boot both Windows 7 and an instant media mode. Booting the ThinkPad in instant media mode allows you to instant-on, browse the internet or consume video with double the battery life of about 10 hours. Lenovo is planning to deliver this feature as an update to existing X1 owners as well. Also Lenovo is expecting Microsoft to complete Windows 8 by Fall 2012 and planning to introduce notebooks and tablets based on Windows 8 along with Intel’s new Chief River Processors / Ivy Bridge Platform.
