Latest Office Insider update for iOS brings improved real-time collabration, alerts of shared files and more

Microsoft today released a new Insider update for Office apps on iOS. This update is a preview of the September 2017 feature update for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for iPad and iPhone and weekly updates for Outlook for iOS. It includes new features like alerts for shared files, ability to share single slide from PowerPoint, improved real-time collabration and more. Find the full change below.

What’s new in version 2.5 (17082904):

  • Work better with others in real time (Word): See where others are working and view changes as they type.
  • Get alerts about your shared files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint): Go to the Account menu to select if you’d like to be notified when a file you’ve shared is updated or shared with others.
  • Be more efficient on your iPad (Outlook): View messages full screen, use the improved date picker and switch calendar views quickly. There are even new keyboard shortcuts to make dealing with your mail even easier.
  • Share one slide (PowerPoint): Don’t send a whole presentation when all you want to share is one thing. PowerPoint lets you share a single slide with others.
