We have heard a variety of people talk about it, and now SK Telecom, Koreaâ€™s number 1 carrier, has confirmed they will be releasing a Windows Phone 7 device supporting Korean in the second half of 2011.
â€œThe new generation of smartphones we will launch this year come with several revolutionary technologies that set them apart from existing smartphones,â€ said Jang Dong-hyun, SKTâ€™s chief marketing officer. â€œSales of smartphones will outnumber sales of non-smartphones this year.â€
Korean smartphones are set to feature a dazzling feature set, including 3D screens and electronic wallets.
Windows Phone 7 handsets supporting far eastern scripts have so far had to wait for later in 2011, and the update which brings support may be part of the new WP7.5 Mango platform.
