We're starting to get closer to Copilot Vision launch in Edge

When Microsoft first launched Copilot Vision besides ChatGPT voice mode-like Copilot Voice, it was a bizarre idea. And now, it seems like we’re getting close to the Copilot Vision launch in Edge, Microsoft’s popular browser on Windows 11.

Microsoft has recently added a flag to enable Copilot Vision in Edge, as a trusted browser enthusiast @Leopeva64 on X spots. We’ve verified it, and it’s true: you can see this flag on Edge Canary (v. 131.0.2881.0), the browser’s experimental channel, and not in Edge Stable at the time of publication.

This flag means that Microsoft has begun testing Copilot Vision in Edge. When activated, Copilot Vision can see the same pages you are viewing, and it gives you real-time advice and suggestions during whatever you do on the web.

One of the things that you can do with Copilot Vision is the screen sharing ability with the AI chatbot while browsing, but as the insider later points out, it’s currently limited to users with a Copilot Pro paid account although it may soon become available to all in the future.

Microsoft also repainted Copilot’s general UI and gave the AI chatbot its biggest redesign so far. The design, inspired by Inflection AI’s Pi assistant, is card-based and more inviting as Microsoft is moving away from traditional text prompts that have been around since the chatbot first launched as “Bing AI Chat” last year.

Speaking of the update, we’re also getting Copilot Daily, an audio summary of news and weather read by Copilot, and it’s launching across mobile, web, and Windows apps.
