Kinectimals coming to Windows Phone

At GamesCon in Colonge Microsoft has announced that a Kinectimals game is coming to Windows Phone 7 this fall.

In a press release they note:

Animal lovers across the globe will be able to bring home new furry friends in “Kinectimals Now with Bears!” on 11th October, 2011, but the fun doesn’t end there. Coming this Autumn, “Kinectimals” fans can take their favourite cubs beyond the living room to care for and train while on-the-go. “Kinectimals” for mobile will deliver all of the fun of the original “Kinectimals,” using touch screen controls to feed, pet, play, train and nurture on-the-go from their Windows Phone while also enjoying Xbox LIVE integration of Achievements and Leaderboards.

Hopefully the feature will include more real-time interactivity than we have seen so far between Xbox Live on the phone and console, a feature which is sorely missing if Windows Phone 7 is to be rightfully seen as an extension of console gaming.

Microsoft aslo noted in the same press release that in-game purchasing of content is coming to Windows Phone 7.5, something teased so far in a few Xbox Live titles.
