Kantar survey finds HTC Mozart doing well in Australia

While Android and iOS domination is certainly in full force in Australia, a recent Kantar survey found over the last few weeks the HTC Mozart has been selling well in Australia.

CNET reports:

Kantar noted in its report that Apple’s share growth had halted, while Android’s share had rocketed on the back of sales of the Samsung Galaxy S II, the HTC Desire HD, the HTC Sensation and the HTC Desire Z. The company reported that the Windows Phone 7 HTC Mozart also performed well in the last 12 weeks.

The 8 megapixel device is joining other HTC devices such as the HTC Sensation and HTC Desire Z in competing aggressively against the iPhone.

The performance of the handset, which is exclusive to Telstra, is interesting, given the recent statement of a Telstra executive claiming "The issue will be whether consumers are prepared to invest in a Windows based model. They haven’t in the past."

Maybe all we need is the right kind of handset with the right kind of specs, not to mention promotion of course?
