Remember the Kangaroo Mini from InFocus, a pocket PC that offered 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for $99? Well, the company is now back with a Plus edition of the original Kangaroo, the new Kangaroo Plus. The Kangaroo Plus offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for $160.99. The device also sports the Intel Cherrytrail (Z8500) SOC, clocked at 1.44GHz.
Lawrence Yen, the director of Kangaroo product marketing stated:
“We’ve received overwhelmingly positive response from the launch of Kangaroo a little more than three months ago. For our latest model, we have taken direct customer feedback and incorporated it into the Kangaroo Plus. Customers asked for more storage and memory packaged in the same tiny form factor and we are giving it to them. Customers have also asked to be able to customize and configure their own operating system and now that is possible as well”
It is worth noting that the Kangaroo Mini plus doesn’t ship with an operating system, meaning that you will have to buy an OS like Windows 10 or if you don’t want to spend any money for the OS, you can always try Linux for free.
The Kangaroo Plus is available today at Newegg for $169.99, and you can get it here. It isn’t clear if the device will be coming to the Microsoft Store, but that seems quite possible considering that the original Kangaroo is still available at the Microsoft Store.
