Windows Phone 7 is fundamentally different to Windows Mobile 6.5 in one very specific way – while Windows Mobile was based on computer paradigms from the 1990’s, Windows Phone 7 is by design a cloud-based 2010 operating system, designed for an unlimited data plan and deep hooks into web services, be it from Microsoft, Facebook or even your enterprise.
We believe Microsoft’s Live services are a core part of Windows Phone 7, but of course covering this aspect has so far not been one of our core competences, hence the many stories we source from LiveSide.net, a website that is 100% focussed on Microsoft’s cloud.
Noticing this, we have therefore approached them to make our arrangement a bit more formal, and were happy to be enthusiastically greeted by kindred spirits.
We will therefore syndicating some of LiveSide’s content into our front page and feeds, hopefully in an unobtrusive fashion, so that our readers can be aware of the latest developments in the services which will form part and parcel part of owing a Windows Phone.
So join us therefore in extending a hearty welcome to LiveSide.net. 🙂
