Jawbone confirms an official Up app is coming to Windows Phone

Last week’s announcement by Jawbone of their API opening up support for Windows Phone did not make it clear whether the company would be releasing an official app for our platform.

Now the company has responded to our enquiry by saying:

There are indeed plans to include Microsoft Windows Phone in this forthcoming release, however specific compatibilities are yet to be released. Please check back at Jawbone.com periodically for updates as more information will be released very shortly!

It is of course likely that only the handsets with the latest OS update, with Bluetooth LE support, will be supported, but fortunately this is available is a free update to most Windows Phones.
