Update 2: Facebook has now confirmed that the issue has been resolved. The company, however, noted that it might take some time for the services to restore completely for everyone around the world.
Earlier today, some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps and platforms. The issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100% for everyone. We're sorry for any inconvenience.

Original Story: If you were trying to check out the latest status updates from your friends or were planning on sharing your group photo on WhatsApp then you’re not alone. It looks Facebook services are down in several parts of the world.
At this point, we were able to confirm that Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp are down. The good thing, however, is that only the media services are down. This means that you will still be able to send messages, read statuses but won’t be able to open or download media files like photos and videos.
We tried testing all the services in the UK and India but got the error saying that the media files are not available at the moment. Facebook hasn’t officially commented on the matter but we will update this article as soon as we will have more information on the outage.
