For about a month we enjoyed the unusual (for us) position of being a site, if not dedicated, at least inspired by the world’s most valuable publicly traded company.
After overtaking Apple at the end of November, Microsoft has been ruling the roost for all of December, but we knew it was not going to last. It was not, however, a resurgent Apple which retook their position, but a once more vigorous Amazon, which has been the fastest growing company of 2018.
At the time of writing Amazon is worth $792 billion vs Microsoft’s $783 billion.
Fortune notes that Amazon has just come off a great holiday season, shipping more than a billion products in the USA. The company also announced 100 million Alexa products in use and a variety of other inspirational statistics.
With Microsoft’s FY19Q2 earnings coming up at the end of the month, can Microsoft retake the crown? Keep an eye on the site and we will be sure to let you know.
