ISP giving a 50% discount on handsets if customers pick a Windows Phone

South Africa ISP Axxess announced that they will be offering a 50% discount to to the first 100 customers who pick a Windows Phone when they sign up for a data plan also. This will halve the price of the Proline SP4 from R999 to R499 ($42.76).

The Proline SP4 is a basic Microsoft Reference Design device with a 4 inch WVGA screen, 4 megapixel rear and VGA front-facing camera with 512 MB RAM, 4 GB of storage and microSD support and a quad-core processor with Adreno 302 GPU, Dual-SIM HSDPA support and a 1,920 battery.

The company is also offering an Android handset, the Zest T1, which normally retails for R1,99, and will only have a 25% discount to R1,499.

Calling the Windows Phones and their Axxess package a smart combo, the deal will go live on the 24th February.
