IRC7 was the first IRC app for the Windows Phone. Released in 9/2011, it used the sockets support provided by Windows Phone Mango to allow users of Windows Phone smartphones to connect to their favorite IRC servers.

Since the first release, IRC7 has received a total of 8 updates which have further improved the app. These updates have brought features like custom aliases, startup scripts, SSL and SASL, making it the only IRC app available for the Windows Phone which supports secure connections.

Starting today, IRC7 is now also available as a completely free version. The free version is build upon the full version and it’s not a trial. With the exception of scripting, it contains all the features from the free version.
