Now that the Apple’s big bomb has dropped, it seemed to have landed with rather a damp squib. The iPhone 3G is thicker than before, the screen has the same low resolution, as does the camera, there is still no word of video recoding support, no front facing camera, no included GPS software, no copy and paste, no MMS, no A2DPÂ etc etc.
The biggest news was the price drop, meaning either Apple is giving up its margins (unlikely) or it has been forced to finally abandon stealing the user’s subsidy and keeping it for themselves.
In short, Apple brought nothing new to the table. The Samsung Omnia, announced today, is clearly a better device.
