So…you own an iPad Pro and planning to get Office apps running on your new tablet (yes, it’s a tablet)? Well, we’ve some bad news for you.
To be able to use Office on your iPad Pro, you will require an Office 365 subscription. A Microsoft spokesperson told Ars Technica that users will indeed need Office 365 subscription to be able to use Office apps such as Word or PowerPoint on their iPad Pro.
Keep in mind that the same Office apps offer free editing features on other iDevices for free, and users can get some pro features by getting the in-app purchases.
