Intermec CN50 has software defined radio, digital compass

Sometimes industrial smartphones can be pretty cool.  The Intermec CN50 rugged Windows Mobile smartphone is just one such device, seeming to pack in every possible cutting edge technology in its 28 mm thick frame.

One of the most amazing features is the software defined cellular radio, driven by a 528 Mhz Digital Signal Processor, which allows the radio to be reprogrammed from GSM/HSPA to CDMA/EVDO at will .  The device also has many other features, like a 1 megapixel area scanner, which can be used to scan barcodes and documents and GPS with Magnetic Digital Compass. The keypad is even available in QWERTY or numeric version.
