Intel discontinuing its quad-core Kaby Lake-X processors

At Computex 2017 last year, Intel first unveiled its Intel Core X-series processor family. These processors are the most powerful high-end desktop processors from Intel and they meet the performance demands of content creators and gamers. The new X-series processor family is powered by up to 18 cores and 36 threads. With up to 68 PCIe 3.0 lanes, users can expand their systems with fast SSDs, up to four discrete GFX cards and ultrafast Thunderbolt 3 solutions.

Intel yesterday announced that it is discontinuing the quad-core Kaby Lake-X processors, Intel Core i7-7740X X-series Processor and Intel Core i5-7640X X-series Processor. November 30, 2018 is the last date to place order for these processors.
