Reverse engineer Jane Wong has been busy with Instagram’s latest update, revealing app features well before the photo-sharing company was ready to unveil them.

Today she posted three new upcoming features and also a warning.

Instagram will now use its AI to suggest the best pictures to fill out your posts and stories with its new “Suggested Photos” feature in the new Post Creation Camera Roll picker.

Instagram is also working on new Augmented Reality Effect Stickers.

Saving the best feature for last, Instagram is working on a new Augmented Reality Background Story Effect, which will presumably allow you to pretend you are on the ski slope when you are merely surfing your couch.

Instagram is also working on one less than welcome feature – the app will now insist on knowing your date of birth, though presumably, you are still free to lie. If you are being honest, however, the app will bar minors from signing up.

Follow Jane’s latest discoveries here.
