Facebook just announced an update to their Instagram service to add video support. Their iOS and Android apps now allow users to upload 15 second segments of video, and offers 13 live filters, frames and digital image stabilization.
The changes obviously upped the ante for both creating an equivalent 3rd party app, and the amount of effort Instagram need to invest to create their own native app.
When asked directly if the service will come to Windows Phone Mark Zuckerberg said:
Q: When are we going to see Instagram on Windows Phone?
A: I think Windows Phone is very interesting, but we’ve got nothing to announce right now.
