Impossible Shoota developer made $30,000 in 6 months in WP7 Marketplace

Elbert Perez, the developer of numerous popular Windows Phone 7 games like Impossible Shoota and Scribble Defence has tweeted that he has so far enjoyed nearly $30,000 in total revenue from the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.

Perez appears to have around 21 apps in Marketplace at the moment, all of which are ad supported. While $30,000 in 6 months is likely a lot less than Elbert would have earned if he just worked 9-5 as a developer, it does show even with the small size of the installed WP7 base it is possible to make money off the platform.  In fact it was enough for Elbert to give up his day job, which is pretty cool 🙂
