IM+, a well known multi protocol IM client today was updated to v2.0 with new features. The new version now brings Beep, a cross platform messaging service similar to Kik, WhatsApp, etc, to Windows Phones.

Introducing Beep: cross-platform messaging service available in IM+ application on iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone. Beep brings your address book contacts into instant messaging and helps you saving on SMS and MMS. Always on. Always instant. Always free.

Chat in Beep, Skype, Facebook, Google Talk, AIM, Yahoo!, ICQ, Jabber, VKontakte, Yandex IM, Mail.ru Agent and MySpace. Stay connected with your friends, family and business contacts anytime and anywhere.

One bad news with this update is that, IM+ is removing Windows Live Messenger support due to the request from Microsoft.

ATTENTION MSN/WLM users! MSN/WLM is not supported in 2.0 version of IM+ due to Microsoft Marketplace request. If you would like to continue using MSN/WLM in IM+, do not update to 2.0 version from version 1.2. We will continue working on this situation with Microsoft.

You can download the app here.
