IE 10 vs Firefox vs Chrome on Windows 8 (video)

In the above video we do an  HTML 5 browser comparison between IE 10 (Metro and Desktop version), Firefox Aurora, and Chrome Beta, running on the HP Touchsmart TM2 with Windows 8 Developer Beta loaded.
Complete system restarts were done before filming a different web browser, to ensure that each browser had a perfectly fair start.

We ran the Touch Effects and Flying Images tests from

Touch Effects————————————-

1st: IE 10 Desktop Mode
2nd: Firefox Aurora
3rd: IE 10 Metro
4th: Google Chrome Beta

Flying Images—————————————–

1st: Firefox Aurora
2nd: IE 10 Desktop Mode
3rd: IE 10 Metro
4th: Google Chrome Beta

It is interesting to see that IE10 Metro performs differently than IE10 in classic mode.  The TM2 is using an integrated graphics card, so it’s not the most powerful. We suspect on more modern hardware, which is what IE10 is optimised for, it should perform even better.
