Fiberlink®, an IBM company and leader in enterprise mobility management (EMM), today announced that the MaaS360 Secure Productivity Suite now provides support for Windows Phone 8 with secure email, calendar, contacts and browser. With these new capabilities, MaaS360 continues to make it easy for organizations to securely separate corporate data from personal data on Windows devices.

MaaS360 Secure Productivity Suite delivers a Trusted WorkPlace environment for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. This is especially helpful for businesses that need stringent security policy and compliance controls, such as those in the highly regulated healthcare and financial services industries. The solution is also ideal for BYOD models, consultants and vendors that need to securely share content and collaborate without managing and controlling the actual devices.

Where iOS and Android devices have been widely adopted as BlackBerry replacements for several years, Windows Phone 8 is just beginning to see broader adoption in the U.S. and in Europe.

"Since its launch in late 2012, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 has seen nearly steady growth in the enterprise: 12 percent of U.S. companies are planning on buying Windows Phone 8 devices in the first quarter of 2014," said Chris Hazelton, research director for mobile & wireless at 451 Research. "According to our ChangeWave Research, corporate users are more satisfied with Windows Phone 8 than they are with either Android or BlackBerry. We see growing demand and interest in the OS – which will drive a need for mobile management tools to support it."

MaaS360 Secure Productivity Suite includes:

  • Secure mail to contain enterprise data in email, calendar and contacts, blocking copy/paste and forwarding of attachments
  • Application security with mobile enterprise app containers to prevent data leaks
  • Secure browser to provide access to corporate resources, protect against malware, and enforce compliance of Web content policies
  • Secure document sharing to empower collaboration for access, creation, editing, syncing and sharing of enterprise content

"Mobile technology has a profound impact on every facet of our personal and professional lives," said Christopher Clark, president of Fiberlink. "By expanding our Secure Productivity Suite to support Windows Phone 8, MaaS360 ensures that even more people globally can take full advantage of their devices and IT can be confident that enterprise data is safe."

MaaS360 Secure Productivity Suite is available as part of a comprehensive EMM solution or as a standalone solution without enrolling devices in EMM. More information is available at www.maas360.com.
