Huawei Ascend W2 hands-on video

We have become much less enamoured with the Huawei Ascend W2 when we discovered it only has a WVGA screen and 512 MB RAM, but there is no denying that it is the low-end where Windows phone is selling best, so the device may still help the OS swell its ranks of users significantly.

In the hands-on video posted by Engadget from the Mobile Asia Expo we can see the device has a rather nifty trick up its sleeve – the ability for the backlight of the soft keys to match the accent colour of the device.

I am not sure how many fans this engineering feat will win over, but I am sure it will feature rather heavily in Huawei’s advertising.

Does this handset do anything for our readers? Let us know below.
