Earlier today, Huawei announced its latest flagship devices, the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. These devices come pre-installed with a couple of Microsoft services. First one is the Microsoft Translator app which makes uses of the new Neural Processing Unit in these devices to translate content offline. Second one is a major one, Huawei has integrated LinkedIn directly into the OS. All new EMUI 8 users can connect their LinkedIn account on their Huawei smartphones to see the latest profile information about their professional contacts directly in the native phone address book.
Once the LinkedIn account is connected, if an user receives a phone call from anyone on his professional network, he will instantly know more information about the contact, what company they work for, and their LinkedIn profile photo directly in the call receiving screen. And if he receives an email from an unknown sender, he can see the sender’s professional identity from LinkedIn in a single touch.
LinkedIn team is working with Huawei for more such integrations in the future.
