HTC Touch HD now official?

It seems HTC had a bit of an accident, and managed to reveal the HTC Touch HD to all comers earlier than it was itself intending. The device featured briefly on their website, but is of course now nowhere to be found. The specs are largely confirmed however and reads as follows:

Bluetooth 2 + EDR
802.11b/g Wi-Fi

In the (now disappeared)comments Peter Chou, president and CEO HTC Corporation, said “Today, widescreen TV, Internet and video have become the standard so there is no reason to compromise when you leave the house, the Touch HD delivers that uncompromising multimedia and Internet experience”.

The HTC Touch HD is coming to European carriers in Q4 2008 and to the rest of the world soon after.  Pricing was not revealed.
