HTC cut the price of its Vive virtual reality headset by $200 in August, bringing the price of the headset down to only $599. The company is now offering further discounts to attract more sales of the headset.

Today, the company announced that it will be including Fallout 4 VR for free with new purchases of the Vive headset. If you purchase the Vive headset for $599 from today, you will get a preorder code with the purchase. And once the game releases on the 12th of December, you will be able to download it and play it using your new Vive.

“Fallout 4 VR is the most anticipated title for VR this holiday, and the game development team at Bethesda Game Studios is delivering on the promise with a full-length AAA open-world game that takes advantage of Vive’s incredible room-scale immersion for a mind-blowing experience in the Wasteland,” said Joel Breton, General Manager of Vive Studios. “The promise of a game with near endless content, including hundreds of locations, characters, and quests, fully playable in VR, is something that we have been focused on providing for the VR gaming community. We are now thrilled to provide this incredible game to new Vive owners and eagerly look forward to game’s launch on Vive this December.”

If you already own a Vive and plan to buy Fallout 4 VR separately, HTC will also have a gift for you: a free subscription to its Viveport subscription gaming service for three for months.
