From our friends at PDA.pl we get some news about the HTC Maple, seemingly the step child of HTC’s Windows Mobile family.
According to our information the device was set to launch in May, and was also meant to be shown off at Mobile World Congress. It now turns out that HTC does not want to divert attention from its 2 flagship products form the first half of the year, and is therefore pushing the device back to around August 2009.
While this is obviously a setback to fans of Windows Mobile Standard, it is unlikely too many people are mourning this news. It does however leave HTC with a yawning gap when it comes to messaging devices that compete head to head with RIM’s latest.
