HTC June revenues up 20% year on year

HTC has again defied the recession by posting double digit sales growth. The company posted revenues of US$434.95 million for June, up 14.7% on month and 20.9% on year.

After a slow first quarter HTC also saw its quarterly revenues grow 10.3% on year to $1.15 billion in the second quarter, matching the company’s projection for a 8-11% growth.

The company also achieved the difficult feat of growing profits after earning after-tax profits of $197 million in the second quarter of 2009 compared to $148 million in the first quarter.

Earlier in the year HTC projected 10 percent to 20 percent revenue growth for 2009. The launch of a further 4 windows mobile handsets and 2 android devices should help in this goal.
