Unlocked-Mobiles have posted their contract-free pricing for HTC’s new range of Windows Phones, and the prices are pretty good, which may give it a leg up on Nokia’s range when they hit stores.

The HTC 8S, which comes with a 1 Ghz dual core processor, 4 Gb expandable storage, a 5 megapixel camera with 4 inch WVGA screen and no front-facing camera will retail for a ground-breaking 224.98 Inc Vat at launch.  If you just want a no-frills Windows Phone 8 phone this is almost certainly the one to go for.

The HTC 8X is also going for pretty cheap.  Unlocked-Mobiles will be retailing theirs for 398.98 Inc Vat, which is a pretty good introductory price and likely a hundred pound less than the Nokia Lumia 920 will retail for. That handset has a super-sharp 4.3 inch 720p screen, 16 GB of storage and a 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor with a great 8 megapixel rear and super-wide angle 2.1 megapixel front camera.

The HTC 8x will arrive in early November and the 8S in mid-November.
