HTC 8S ROM hacked en route to a custom ROM


Ken Hutchinson on has found a way to decompress, add to and flash a modified ROM to the HTC 8S.

The evidence can be seen in the custom boot image, displayed above, and a video which can be seen after the break.

As of yet the hack has limited utility, as the OS remains signed and encrypted, but there appears to be signs that even this protection may fall soon.
