HP Officially Announces Stream Windows Laptop (Chromebook Killer?), Goes On Sale Later This Month For $299

At WPC earlier this year, Microsoft revealed that there will be number of really affordable Windows laptops coming to the market to compete with Google Chromebooks. They even revealed that one such device from HP will sell for just $199. Today, HP officially announced the product and it turns out to be coming to market with a higher price tag. HP will start selling HP Stream Windows laptop for $299 starting September 24th. This device comes with 14-inch 1,366 x 768 display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of local storage and AMD A4 Micro processor which enable fanless design. It also includes a USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port and microSD slot for expanding the storage. To make the deal better, Microsoft is giving away 100GB of OneDrive storage of two years.
