Hotmail finally puts Windows Phone front and centre

For too long Microsoft’s Hotmail signup page featured the iPhone front and center, compared to the much smaller Windows Phone and Android handsets (picture right).

It seems Microsoft has finally become confident enough in their own mobile OS to push it ahead of the other mobile operating systems.

While it is easy to justify Microsoft playing to the largest mobile operating systems, Microsoft’s attitude to their own OS also influences how customers see it, and it is heartening to see more of Microsoft’s properties acknowledge their company actually make a phone OS.

Now if only that Photosynth team (who just released another update for iOS) could get the message…

Thanks Umair for the tip.
