Homebrew Waze GPS Navigation client under development

Meir Tsvi has been quitely working on a home brew implementation of the Waze GPS navigation service for Windows Phone 7.

The service, which functions by creating user-submitted maps generated by user driving patterns and “the wisdom of the crowd”  has a Windows Mobile app, but no far no Windows Phone 7 client has been forthcoming.

Meir’s solution does not look too bad however, and can be tried for free now if you have an unlocked Windows Phone 7 handset.

Read more about the app at Meir’s website here.
