Microsoft is finally getting ready to launch the HoloLens. The company will start taking pre-orders for the HoloLens Development Edition tomorrow, and ship it in 30 days (that’s March 30). The company will launch the augmented reality headset with the following games: Fragments, Young Conker, and RoboRaid. Apparently, Microsoft will ship the HoloLens Development Edition with tutorial videos, documentation, as well as some help guides for companies looking to develop apps and games for the device.

As expected, the development edition will come with Skype which will allow users to “interact in the holographic world”. Additionally, Microsoft will also release an app called HoloTour which will offer “users 360-degree panoramic displays of places like Rome and Machu Picchu.”. Apparently, HoloTour allows users to walk around the virtual locations, which will be pretty amazing. Microsoft will also include an app called HoloStudio with the HoloLens.

Last but not least is Actiongram, which will be released this summer:

Actiongram is a holographic storytelling medium for the platform will allow developers to blend holographic content into real world settings, allowing anybody to create emotionally compelling and humorous videos.

HoloLens Developer Edition will be available for $3000.
