HMD Global has launched the Nokia X7 globally as the Nokia 8.1. The new Android smartphone from the firm will go on sale early next year in January and set you back roughly 399 Euros.
It is intended to be a successor to the critically well-received Nokia 7 Plus – not the Nokia 8 and/or 8 Sirocco with which it shares a numerical association.
Now, while this may be confusing, Nokia is rumoured to be releasing a flagship phone branded with the Nokia 9. The name of this phone is likely meant to alleviate brand confusion, perhaps due to sporting a higher end processor than the Nokia 7.1.
Specs wise, the Nokia 8.1 is a high mid-range device which sports a 6.18 Full HD+ full-screen display with a 20 MP selfie camera paired with a dal 12MMP/13MP processor, a powerful Snapdragon 710 Processor, and Android Pie right out of the box.
