When it comes to twitter clients, the official app made by Twitter is the best when it comes to notifications. That’s because twitter doesn’t allow developers to use its Site Stream service by saying it’s still a beta. However, it has been in beta since 2010 so it actually should be working pretty fine already.
By signing the petition below you can reach out to twitter and tell them they should give the developer of MeTweets, Matthieu De Laere, access to their Site Stream service so his app can get fast, instant notifications.
Actually he uses the REST API and the app checks for notifications almost every minute which is very intensive – more intensive than using the Site Stream service would be.
By signing the petition twitter Twitter may not just Matthieu the ability to use the service but also other developers, which means your favorite twitter client, even if it’s not MeTweets, can also profit.
