We have had a tip recently that users are seeing better results under the Local Tab in Bing Searches in countries where before no useful results showed up. We were able to confirm that at least in Germany that is the case, with much better information coming back from searches.
Hopefully this is a sign that Microsoft has become more serious about supporting their strongest markets, especially in Europe, rather than focussing so much on the US market. The Bing service provided Internationally on Windows Phone is still much poorer than in US, where users are treated to local headlines, local activities, cinema trailers and are even able to book seats.
