Hands-on with Windows 10 Build 10158 (screenshots)

Yesterday, Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 10158 for the  fast ring of Insiders. The latest Windows 10 build introduces a handful of new improvements, and a couple of new features. With Build 10158, Cortana gets some tiny UI improvements and the ability to respond to your own voice for the “Hey Cortana” command. The latest build also introduces the much awaited Microsoft Edge branding – alongside the Edge branding, Build 10158 also introduces a dark theme for the browser, which looks pretty hot. Here are some other things that we are new on Build 10158:

  • Phone Companion App
  • Improved Photos app
  • Improved Store app – it’s no longer known as Store (beta)
  • Improved People app
  • Some tiny improvements to classing Windows buttons and icons
  • Two new wallpapers
  • UI improvements for Tablet mode

It’s worth noting that the latest Windows 10 build is very stable, and you probably won’t have any issues if you install it on your daily driver as well. Ahead of the Windows 10 RTM release date, Microsoft has started polishing the operating system and murdering bugs – unsurprisingly enough, there are 0 known issues on this build – which is indeed a very good news for the company, as well as Insiders.

Nonetheless, here are a bunch of screenshots of Windows 10 Build 10158:
