Sony Ericsson and Handago have announced that they will bring the Handango inHand software client to all of Sony Ericsson’s converged devices, including the much anticipated Experia X1.
The software, which has been around since 2005, allows users to browse Handango’s mobile software catalogue both on and off-line, and purchase with only one click.
“Before the original iPhone came out, many people thought of smartphones as only capable of making calls and checking e-mails,” Handango CEO Bill Stone told InformationWeek. “It’s raised customer awareness of the powers that smartphones have.”
Previously Handango, in an e-mail to developers, have said the SE Xperia X1 is expected to be released to consumers as soon as mid-September 2008.
