Halo World Championship returning in 2018, surprises in store for Halo 5 next week

Over on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries announced that the Halo World Championship will be returning next year in 2018. In addition, a livestream is set for next week that will include a few small surprises in store for Halo 5: Guardians.

The upcoming Halo World Championship will raise the stakes even higher as more teams contend for the top spot. OpTic Gaming has yet to win an event since their HaloWC 2017 Finals victory, so it should be interesting to see if they can pull off a win this time.

A livestream is scheduled for October 17 at 4PM PT on mixer.com/halo and twitch.tv/halo where the company will reveal more details about the next Halo World Championship. Be on the lookout because you will get a first look at a few small surprises that are in store for Halo 5 that will be announced during this livestream. There were no hints as to what these could be, so I would temper expectations.

Until then, Microsoft recently announced four new Xbox One S bundles that you can check out, including an Ultimate Halo bundle that will be available this holiday.
