Backward Compatibility lets you play your Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One, and the lineup of games participating in the program just keeps growing. The latest addition is Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto IV, which came out all the way back in April 2008. Its trailer can be found below.

Like all modern GTA games, Grand Theft Auto IV is a massive open world romp with an insanely high number of things to do. It was the first GTA game for the Xbox 360, and used the power of then current generation systems to up the ante from its predecessors. Even if it might seem somewhat dated visually now, it was pretty impressive for the time.

Even if you might prefer some of the bells and whistles included in the Xbox One version of Grand Theft Auto V (like first person mode), its predecessor still holds its own – even against some of this generation’s heavy hitters.

You can find Grand Theft Auto IV in the Xbox Marketplace for $19.99 by clicking here. The physical version is only $8.81 on Amazon at the time of writing and can be found here.

Are you excited to play Grand Theft Auto IV on your Xbox One? Did you already own it for the Xbox 360, or will you be playing it for the first time? Let us know in the comments below!
