The upcoming successor to the GPD Win 2 is coming later this year.

The GPD Win Max will be a beefed-up version of the previous device that’ll be powered by AMD Ryzen technology according to some leaked images.

Posted on the GPD Devices Discord channel, the new motherboard images show an AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 SoC powering the device. GPD’s Win 2 device used an Intel Core m3-7Y30 instead of utilizing any AMD technology.

This would take GPD up a notch compared to its major upcoming competitor: SmachZ. While that crowdfunded console was set to launch earlier this year, the device is being continuously delayed.

The GPD Win Max is equipped with a microSD card port, HDMI port, USB Type-A ports and a USB-C port. Just like the original Win 2.
