In times when developers try to make their apps as advanced and feature rich as possible, smaller apps which just do what they need to are getting rarer and rarer. However, sometimes there are exceptions and one of these is a new app called Gools – Golf Tools.
As the name already suggests, it is an app for golfing. It is sleek and fast and without any useless settings or gimmicks, it concentrates on the necessary only. That is why it has one start screen and no pivots – the user is simply presented four options: “Club Distances”, “Ball Finder”, “How Far Is..?” and “Swing Analyzer”, which does not work just yet but will be added in a future update.
Interesting is that the app uses the user’s statistics. For example the “How far is..?” feature calculates the distance to the point where you want to hit the ball to and suggests a club based on your statistics. These can also be accessed manually after they have been added in “Club Distances”.
I myself am not a golfer and I have never played it before as well, so I cannot rate the app and its features, but since it seems like there are not a lot of golf tools available in the store, golfers among our readers may want to try out Gools.
Like already said, the app feels sleek and fast. There are some smaller design issues and one, two little language errors, but none of them make features incomprehensible or faulty.
I think the app might be worth checking out and it can be found here and here for Windows 10 mobile users.
What do the golfers among our readers think about this app? Are there maybe good alternatives? Let us know in the comments below!
