Google just dropped a series of fresh digital experiments within its Arts & Culture platform, making famous artworks surprisingly interactive and even playable.
In the first feature, dubbed “XYZ Toy,” users turn their smartphones into motion controllers to navigate virtual 3D puzzles inspired by iconic museum exhibits. Next up is “Un-Dough!” – a playful digital tool that lets you sculpt and mold virtual dough into masterpieces echoing classic sculptures from famous art galleries.

Then there’s “Odd One Out,” a visual guessing game that challenges you to spot which artwork doesn’t quite belong. Another feature, “Haiku Imagined,” helps generate visually captivating poems based on renowned art pieces.
Each mini-experience blends entertainment with education, adding depth to museum visits without needing to leave home. Google’s expanding digital toolkit gives museums fresh ways to engage audiences—especially younger crowds—with their collections, potentially boosting interest and attendance.
Over the years, Google Arts & Culture has expanded its partnerships with hundreds of global museums and institutions, but these latest interactive experiments are directly aimed at making art fun for a wider audience. You can find out more about them on the free Arts & Culture app or on this page.
