Google has announced a fresh batch of updates to its Workspace suite, aimed at enhancing productivity across education, development, and data visualization. The latest features are now rolling out to Rapid and Scheduled Release domains, with availability extended to individual and personal Google account holders.
Key among the updates is a new custom chart grouping capability in Connected Sheets. This feature allows users to define custom numeric ranges, helping visualize large datasets more effectively by setting minimum/maximum values and bucket intervals.

Educators using Google Classroom are also gaining powerful AI-backed tools, including:
- Gemini-assisted quiz generation based on specific text passages
- Bulk grading and grading label assignments via the new “grade all” option
- Silent reading mode in Read Along to support independent reading
- Seven new web languages, including Swahili and French Canadian
Developers benefit from expanded code block support in Google Docs, making collaboration on code easier with more programming languages now supported.
Additionally, admins can opt in to Gemini AI features for early testing before general availability. Mobile Google Meet users can now choose a language of their choice for live captions and transcripts from a calendar invite or within the same meeting.
All of these are in line with Google’s drive for AI, language, and workflow intelligence across their productivity suite .
