Google to kill off its Jump VR video solution

Jump is Google’s professional VR video solution that makes it easy for content creators to produce 3D-360 video with automated stitching. Along with the Jump cloud service, Jump cameras along with Jump Assembler enables seamless VR video production. Last week, Google announced that Jump solution will be killed off soon. Google mentioned that usage of Jump Assembler has declined due to the emergence of a number of alternative solutions for creators. Jump solution will be killed off based on the following schedule.

  • Upload access to Jump will be suspended on June 26, 2019 at 11:59PM Pacific Time.

  • Your Jump data will be available to download through June 27, 2019. If you wish to back up your data, you must download your files by June 27, 2019. We highly recommend starting this process as soon as possible.

  • We will deactivate Jump account access and begin deleting your Google Cloud Storage data on June 28, 2019.
