Google last year released a file management app called Files Go for Android devices. It comes with an AirDrop-like wireless file sharing functionality as it takes advantage of 5GHz Wi-Fi Direct capability in supported devices to support the highest transfer speeds possible. Google today announced that it is rebranding the app to Files by Google. Google has also redesigned the UX to make sure your local content on the mobile phone is the focus when you use the app.
Google mentioned that Files Go has grown tremendously over the last year and it now has over 30 million monthly users.
