Google launched the Google Home Mini back in 2017 to compete with Amazon Echo devices, particularly Amazon Echo Dot. Now a new report claims that the company might be planning to launch a second version of Home Mini this fall.

According to a report published by 9t05Google (via Cnet), the company is planning to refresh the smart speaker lineup and move it under the Nest brand. The Nest Mini is rumoured come in the same slim form factor but will add a 3.5mm stereo jack. The smart speaker might also come with proximity awareness. Google will also give users multiple colour options as the speaker will come in a series of colours. Not only that, but Google is also expected to improve the speaker overall with better bass and sound quality. The company is also looking at mounting solutions and the Nest mini might come with a built-in wall mount.

While this is very little to go on with, we do expect more details to emerge as we near the launch of the speakers which is rumoured to happen along with the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL launch.
