Google made some changes to the user interface of the Google Nest Hub Max and today 9to5google reports that the company is now rolling out those improvements to the older Google Home Hub devices.

As can be seen in the screenshot above from 9to5google, the changes are mainly to the home screen and the screen that follows.  The time and date is now more prominent in the lower left corner of the screen, and the weather report is now less detailed, without the 3-day forecast, which can now be accessed by tapping on the current weather (an extra step which may annoy some users.)

In addition, the first page of your cards will now feature a blurred background of your latest photo frame photo, which fades out to white as you browse more cards.

The UI update appears tied to Google Home firmware (version 1.39154941) from earlier this week and should also be rolling out the 3rd party Smart Displays such as from Lenovo and JBL.
